Support Child Safety Week

Child Safety week is a time to remember and educate all about the safety of children in the home,  and Metro Rod Northampton is helping to spread the word in support of this week.

An average of 87 children under the age of 5 drowns at home each year. It is claimed that 80 percent of those deaths happen in a bathtub.

The toilet is also a drowning hazard and can be overlooked. Children under the age of 3 years old are at risk, falling headfirst into a toilet, safety features are available like toilet locks to help prevent this happening.

Make people aware that safety in the home is important, by helping to support  Child Safety Week 2019.
