Since launching Metro Rod (Isle of Wight) in 2019, I’ve been committed to building solid and meaningful relationships with local customers across the Isle of Wight. At Metro Rod (Isle of Wight), my team and I are dedicated to delivering a first-class service to you, our customers, from initial contact to resolving your drainage problem.
I’m always looking for new ways to improve our drainage capabilities to ensure our local customers' water and waste keep flowing. 2021 was a fantastic year for us, welcoming a new engineer to the team and purchasing a combination tanker capable of clearing drains, gullies & slot drains whilst also aiding our pump station work. Of course, we are very excited about the latest additions in personnel and equipment, but what does this mean for you, our customers?
Metro Rod Isle of Wight Tanker Services
Welcoming our new engineer to the team and purchasing a new combination tanker has enabled us to expand our full-service offering. We can now provide expert tanker services to the homes and businesses on the Isle of Wight, including sewer and gully cleaning and high-pressure drain jetting. Also, if your pump station has failed, we can remove the build-up of waste within the pump chamber to identify the cause of the issue and fix it before further damage can be inflicted.
Our additional capacity and service offering means we’re able to provide the island with a fast response and expert knowledge from local engineers to resolve the most complex drainage or pump problems. In addition, we can also offer planned maintenance to prevent future disruption.
Examples of Metro Rod Isle Of Wight Tanker Services
At Metro Rod Isle of Wight, we believe in supporting our local island community and have been involved in many local projects requiring our combination tanker.
Sewer and Gully Cleaning in Ryde
We were recently called out to a Tesco Extra in Ryde where the car park had become flooded to the extent it was dangerous for customers. Utilising our new combination tanker, our new engineer and I unblocked the car park’s gullies to remove debris and get the drains flowing again.
High-Pressure Drain Jetting and CCTV Surveying in Colwell
We were tasked with clearing the drainage system on a new housing estate for Kensington House Isle of Wight. Utilising our new combination tanker, we successfully cleared all road gullies, de-silted the storm drains and emptied the large surface water catch-pits. After the drains were cleared & cleaned, we conducted the pre-handover CCTV drain survey in readiness for the developer to hand over the site to the residents and their management company.
Metro Rod Isle of Wight’s Targets for 2022
After our excellent performance in 2021, I’ve continued to identify new avenues to grow the business further and, more importantly, consider how we can develop our capabilities to deliver additional services to the Isle of Wight community.
Our main targets for 2022 are:
- Expand the team further, employing additional personnel to the business
- Increase our full-service offering, primarily focusing on new opportunities in the civil and groundworks sector
- Purchase a larger jet-vac tanker to improve our tanker services further.
