Tricia Craig and Amy Williamson from Metro Rod (North East) are taking part in this year’s CEO Sleepout
on the 9th March at St. James Park.
We will be giving up one night of comfort to raise awareness of homelessness issues. The pair is hoping to generate vital funds to support Tyneside’s most needy.
The funds raised go to local charities Changing Lives as well as Newcastle United Foundation. Changing Lives help homeless people who are living in crisis to get them into secure accommodation alongside the support they need to make positive, lasting changes in their lives. Newcastle United Foundation help vulnerable young people who are facing homelessness, recovering from addiction or dealing with mental health issues.
Amy and Tricia recently met with Jo Curry from Changing Lives to visit one of their day centres and hostels to see what kind of work they do and the support they offer first hand. We were blown away by the friendliness of the staff including the amazing work they do to get peoples lives back on track.
