When it comes to a blocked drain, a blocked sink, a leaky pipe or even plumbing problems it can be completely unpredictable any time of day or night, luckily Metro Rod Cumbria offer a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service!
As we work for a massive variety of clients we have to be on hand to deal with any drainage problems that they may have – from blocked toilets, overflowing gullies, slow draining sinks and showers and even dealing with pre planned maintenance works, such as grease trap emptying, gutter cleaning, interceptor emptying, down-pipe cleaning and clearing & anything else that our customers may expect of us at times to suit them, not ourselves.
But, why do Metro Rod Cumbria operate 24 hours a day?
Surely the demand isn’t there for our services at all times of the day and night? Well, yes. Blocked drains and other drainage problems don’t always occur at the best times (and let’s face it, when is a good time for a drainage problem to happen?!). Although a lot of our domestic customers choose to wait until the morning until calling us out there are vulnerable customers and those who don’t have other facilities on their properties who need us immediately. Metro Rod Cumbria pride ourselves on being able to provide this service and guarantee to be with our customers within just four hours, usually much sooner. This means that the disruption to our customers is kept to an absolute minimum.
24/7 doesn’t just mean working through the night, it can also mean extremely early starts for our engineers. On sites such as retail sites, restaurants or schools for example, where our works could be hazardous to members of the public or just plain disruptive to site’s activities, we are often asked to attend early mornings. Of course we do this, it is not in our interest to cause hazards to site and so we will work whenever our customers require us.
Metro Rod Cumbria guarantee the same service at 3am as we do at 3pm - a safe, professional & honest one!

Flood Emergencies
Metro Rod Cumbria’s vacuum tankers are an excellent method for flood water relief, providing quick removal of water and other debris. Suction is via a 4” hose and we can remove 2000 gallons of dirty water in a matter of minutes.
Flooding can cause many issues, mainly the deposit of silt in sewers and road gullies. The silt then settles preventing gullies and sewers draining effectively and efficiently. Combination tankers are an excellent method for relieving these issues, as not only can they remove silt from gullies via vacuum, they also offer the facility to flush through silted sewers and remove the silt, thus returning the sewer to a serviceable condition.
